Tara Summersett Smith started The Studio, A Salon with a vision: to create an unparalleled salon experience for everyone that sat in her and her team’s chairs. A 3rd generation salon owner, Tara has had a lifelong passion for hair and makeup. From modeling in her teens, to styling celebrity photoshoots, her experiences within the beauty industry have shaped her expert eye and informed her creative vision.

Enter Doug Smith, Tara’s husband. With a degree in marketing and years of experience in the corporate world under his belt, Doug began managing the business-side of the salon. His enterprising nature, fascination with the salon industry and team-player mindset has added another layer of passion and care to The Studio, A Salon, allowing Tara’s vision to flourish.

The result of this partnership is a successful, client-focused salon company that is now able to extend into the retail market and expand their salon space, serving more of their valued community and beyond.
